Mokum's Studio Collection "Moderne"

Mokum is a company that has designed a studio collection of fabrics that are inspired by the aesthetics of the roaring twenties. They call this collection "Moderne." The architecture, fashion, arts, photography, dance, and music from the twenties inspires the designers of Mokum to create fabulous designs in this fabric collection that "keep pace with our modern times."



The fabric above is called "Vionnet." It was inspired by an evening dress from the 20's. The beadwork on the evening dress was very elegant and detailed, and the designers found used it to become inspired and create this gorgeous fabric. Vionnet comes in 8 colors, including the one above, called Quartz. This fabric can be used as curtains or upholstery, and is delicate dry clean only. It is made of 70% cotton and 30% viscose, and should be protected from direct sunlight.
